WHITEWATER, WIS. – Lucy Harper earned a third place finish to wrap up the Warhawk Fall Invite. The tournament resumed at Premier Tennis and Fitness in Janesville, Wis. due to inclement weather.
 
After a 6-1, 7-5 victory Friday, No. 2 singles Harper took on Livia Hollosy (CSU) in the next round. Harper lost the first set 6-2, but fought hard in the second set falling just shy dropping the set 7-6 (1) in the tiebreaker.
 
The third place match was set between Whitewater's Julie Martin and Panthers' Harper, and Harper won by default.
 
On the other side of the court, No. 1 Joie Beth Freirich faced Bridgid McGuire (UWW). Freirich lost the set 6-1, 6-3.
Alex Talyansky (UWW) took the No. 1 singles title over UWF's Sofia Scholl.
 
The Panthers are back on the courts at the ITA Midwest Regionals in Ann Arbor, Mich and is set to begin Oct. 12.
