WHITEWATER, WIS. –
Lucy Harper earned her first collegiate win during the first day of the of the Warhawk Fall Invite hosted by Wangerin Courts and Premier Tennis and Fitness and UW-Whitewater.

No. 2 singles, Harper, drew Eva Lopez of University of Saint Francis cruising in the first set 6-1 and battled the second set to win it 7-5.

As the No. 1 singles for the tournament,
Joie Beth Freirich faced Olivet Nazarene's Victoria Monahkova. Freirich fell in 6-4, 6-3.

Harper and Freirich teamed up for doubles as well, and took on Sofia Scholl and Eva Lopez (USF) in their first match. The duo fell shy of the win, losing 8-6 moving them to the consolation final. In the consolation final, the tandem competed against Dana Huck and Victoria Monahkova (ONU) and were defeated 8-4.
Day two continues on Saturday where Harper will take on Livia Hollosy of Cardinal Stritch and Freirich to face Warhawk Bridgid McGuire at 9 a.m.
