Panther Tennis Set For Run At League Tournament

UWM enters tournament as No. 4 seed

MILWAUKEE – After sweeping its final road trip of the season, the Milwaukee women's tennis team is off to the Horizon League Tournament in Ann Arbor, Mich. this weekend, starting Friday.
 
The Panthers are the No. 4 seed in this year's tournament after posting a 6-3 record in league play this season. They will open up against Wright State Friday at 10 a.m. Central Time.
 
Scouting The Field
The Panthers open up this year's league tournament with a rematch against its last opponent of the regular season – Wright State. UWM took down the Raiders, 4-3, this past Sunday in an incredible comeback win.
 
The winner of Friday's match will take on top-seeded Cleveland State at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The Vikings posted a near-perfect 8-1 mark in league play, with its lone loss coming at home to the Panthers.
 
Should Milwaukee advance to Sunday's championship match, they will take on the winner from the other half of the field of No. 2 UIC, No. 3 Youngstown State and No. 6 Oakland.
