Now 5-3 in conference play

Highland Heights, Ky. – The Milwaukee women's tennis team picked up yet another conference win Saturday afternoon with a 4-1 victory over Northern Kentucky from the Joyce Yaeger Tennis Complex.

The Panthers improved to 11-9 overall and 5-3 in conference play with the win with just one match left on the schedule before postseason action.

Milwaukee came out a bit slow, dropping the opening doubles point only to rally with an emphatic showing in singles play to cruise to the win.

Aerielle Pendleton started things off with a win at the No. 6 spot to even things up at 1-1. Hayley Marshall then quickly gave Milwaukee the lead after a 6-1, 6-3 win at the No. 2 spot over Sydney Power.

Alysa Straub claimed her 18th win of the year to the tune of a 6-0, 7-5 'W' over Nicole Soutar at the No. 4 spot and then senior Dana Shannon clinched the win at No. 5 with a 6-1, 7-6 victory.

Laurie Clark (No. 3) and Labina Petrovska (No. 1) both were also leading their matches before stopping play with the Panther win already in hand.

UWM returns to the court for the final time of the regular season Sunday with a 10 a.m. Central contest at Wright State.
