Clark impressive in the loss

MILWAUKEE – No. 51 DePaul claimed a 7-0 win over the Milwaukee women's tennis team Sunday afternoon at North Shore Elite.

The Panthers battled and fought hard against the Big East power, but came up just short in the end.

Freshman Laurie Clark nearly claimed a win for UWM against one of the top teams in the nation. The newcomer forced Patricia Lancranjan to extras in the opening set and nearly did the same in the second before falling, 7-5, 6-4.

Milwaukee returns to action next week, wrapping up its home stand with a Saturday match against Chicago State at 12:30.
