Milwaukee Tennis Starts Spring Season Saturday At Marquette

First match under new head coach Jeff Aranda

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee women's tennis team kicks off its 2016 spring season Saturday with a trip just across town, taking on Marquette at 10 a.m. from the Helfaer Tennis Stadium.

Saturday's action will be Milwaukee's first since the ITA Regionals hosted by Michigan in October.

UWM had a very successful fall campaign, that saw the Panthers rack up a whopping 86 wins in singles play and another 20 in doubles action.

Saturday is also a notable day as head coach Jeff Aranda makes his coaching debut for the Panthers. Aranda was named the 10th head coach in program history earlier this year and is a member of the Milwaukee Athletics Hall of Fame.

Next up for Milwaukee is a trip to Minneapolis next weekend to take on Minnesota Saturday before a neutral-site matchup against South Dakota on Sunday.
