Panther Tennis Welcomes Wright State On Senior Day

Colarossi, Bailey to play in final home match

MILWAUKEE – The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team is looking to send its seniors off with a win as UWM hosts its final regular season match of the year Saturday – a 12:30 p.m. contest against Wright State.

The Panthers will head into Saturday's match at 4-3 in league play, while WSU enters the day at 1-5 in Horizon League action.

A win for UWM would solidify a fourth-place finish in the league heading into next week's Horizon League Tournament.

Milwaukee will also be looking to send its seniors out in style as Christina Colarossi and Chelsea Bailey both will play their final home matches of their outstanding Panther careers.

Colarossi enters the day already the leader in program history in career wins (150), career doubles wins (88) and career doubles appearances (135). She also stands in the top-five in UWM history in career singles wins (62), career singles appearances (116), career winning percentage (.598) and career doubles winning percentage (.652).

Bailey also posted some impressive numbers while in the Black & Gold. The Mercer Island, Wash. native has 56 singles wins in career, good for fifth thus far in program history. And, despite battling injury much of her junior season, she also has the second-most singles appearances in UWM history at 128.

Saturday's action is set to start at 12:30 p.m. at North Shore Elite Tennis Club in Glendale.
