Rockford, Ill. – Northern Illinois University continued its undefeated season Thursday with a 6-1 win over the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee tennis team at the Boylan Tennis Center.

Senior Christina Colarossi did win her third-straight singles match, but it wasn't enough.

Milwaukee now falls to 2-5 on the year, while the Huskies improve to a perfect 5-0.

The Panthers kept it close all the way. Dana Shannon pushed Mary Malkin to the limit before falling, 7-5, 6-4.

At the No. 2 spot, Alysa Straub was back and forth with Cristina Alvarez before dropping a 6-2, 6-4 decision.

UWM now is set to return home next weekend, taking on Western Michigan Friday, Feb. 20 at noon.
