NORMAL, Ill. - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee won a pair of singles matches but couldn't find its way to two additional points in falling, 5-2, to Illinois State Saturday afternoon.

Diana Tokar claimed a win in the top singles spot for the fourth-straight time while Alysa Straub added a win in the fifth spot for Milwaukee.

Tokar and Dana Shannon also captured an 8-4 win in the top doubles slot. Milwaukee almost pulled out the doubles point but Christina Colarossi and Kristin Kurer came up just short in an 8-7 decision in the third spot.

Tokar's singles win came in three sets. She beat Phyllis Tigges 6-4 in the first set before Tigges struck back with a 6-4 win in the second set. Tokar then won a third-set tiebreaker, 10-6. Straub was in control in her singles win, beating Madeliene Baillon, 6-3, 6-1.

The Panthers are back home next weekend for three matches. Milwaukee plays IUPUI Friday, Oakland Saturday and Detroit Sunday.
