The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team collected six more wins as regional play continues at two sites Friday.
At the ITA Regional in Ann Arbor, Diana Tokar and Christina Colarossi split a pair of contests. After falling in a hard-fought 8-6 match to Shannon Newnes and Olga Shkundina of Akron, the duo bounced back for an 8-7 win against Mariya Toncheva and Ankita Bhatia of Eastern Michigan.
Meanwhile, at the Second Chance Regional in Rockford, the Panthers tallied four singles wins while Alysa Straub and Kristin Kurer collected a convincing 8-0 win over Carly Van Nuland and Noel Peck of Green Bay in doubles.
Dana Shannon collected a win over Katie Hoch of Wisconsin in the top singles draw, as Shannon was ahead in the second set when Hoch withdrew because of injury. Aerielle Pendleton captured a straight-sets win over Heather Nisbet of Illinois State, while Straub and Kurer also tallied singles wins.
The Panthers are finished with their competition in Ann Arbor, but play in Rockford is scheduled to continue through Sunday.
