ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Diana Tokar and Hayley Marshall both dropped matches on the first day of the ITA Regionals at the University of Michigan.

Tokar fell to Meika Ashby of Western Michigan, 6-2, 6-1, while Marshall dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision to Zaina Sufi of DePaul. Marshall also fell in a three-set consolation battle with Katelyn Nguyen of Toledo.

Tomorrow in Ann Arbor, Tokar and Christina Colarossi will face Shannon Newnes and Olga Shkundina of Akron in the doubles draw.

There is also action scheduled this weekend at the Second Chance Regional, which is hosted by Northern Illinois. That event begins Friday.
