JACKSON, Wis. -
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team wrapped up the Panther Round Robin Sunday with seven more victories.
Maddy Soule, Christina Colarossi, Dana Shannon and Kelly Fritz all went a perfect 2-0 on the day, claiming victories in both singles and doubles action.
"Today we competed much more at the level of desire that is expected with our program," Milwaukee head coach Sean McInerney said. "I thought we did a fantastic job working points and taking advantage of weak sides. I think it was a step forward in our progression as a team. I am very proud of our fall thus far and am excited to be heading to the ITAs this week."
For the weekend, UWM collected 25 total wins. The two-day event also included Bradley and Green Bay and was played indoors at the Pleasant Valley Tennis Center.
The Panthers will now wrap up the fall campaign with a pair of events later this week. UWM will send three singles players and a pair of doubles tandems to the ITA Regionals in Champaign, Ill. Two other players will head to the ITA Second Chance Regional in Rockford, Ill. Full brackets for both of those events will be set early this week.
