ROCHESTER, Mich. - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team won all six singles matches and all three doubles contests to claim a 7-0 win over Oakland University Friday night.

The Panthers (11-8) were not threatened in any of the singles matches while only one doubles match was close.

Milwaukee got the contest started on the right foot by winning the doubles point. Kelly Fritz and Sammi Schoen claimed an 8-1 victory in the top slot while Maddy Soule and Beth Ganser teamed up for an 8-4 win in the second doubles slot. Kristin Kurer and Mary Ellen Donovan were challenged in the third spot but pulled out an 8-7 victory.

The Panthers were just as convincing in singles play. Soule and Donovan each dropped just two games in claiming victories while Kurer and Ganser each dropped just three games on their way to easy wins. Schoen was a 6-4, 6-0 winner at number-two singles while Brittany Skemp claimed a 6-1, 6-4 win in the fourth slot.

Soule's win was her 23rd of the season, helping her tie the school record for single-season victories.

Milwaukee wraps up its weekend trip to Michigan as well as its regular season schedule with a Saturday night contest against Detroit. The Panthers would clinch a spot in the Horizon League Championships with a victory.
