MILWAUKEE - Tony Meier had 19 points and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee made 15 three-pointers in cruising to an 86-50 win over Nebraska Omaha Saturday night at the Klotsche Center.

The Panthers (9-3) were in complete control from start-to-finish against the Mavericks (5-8), who are moving into the Summit League next season.

Kaylon Williams added 17 points, eight assists and six rebounds while Paris Gulley pitched-in with 12 points. No starter played more than 24 minutes for UWM and Milwaukee made 10 three-pointers in the first half alone

Mitch Albers had 10 points to lead UNO.

The Panthers started fast and never let up. Milwaukee scored the first nine points of the game and then got the lead to double digits at 16-4 on a Williams hoop with six minutes gone in the game. The advantage grew to 28-8 on back-to-back threes from Williams and was 34-10 after Meier and Gulley followed with three-pointers.

Milwaukee was far from done, though, extending the run to 13-0 on a Gulley three-pointer and the Panthers eventually led 50-20 at the half.

The Panthers didn't let up early in the second half. A Meier three made it 57-22 with 16:25 remaining and a layin by James Haarsma extended the advantage to 61-24 at the 15-minute mark. Milwaukee then added one for the highlight reel, as Demetrius Harris blocked a shot emphatically off the backboard, leading to a fast break that ended with Ryan Allen slamming home a Shaquille Boga lob.

The Panthers wound up leading by as many as 44 points late in the game.

UWM returns to action Thursday night, making the short trip to the Bradley Center for a battle with Marquette. The game tips off at 8 p.m. CST.
