FT. WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team wrapped up its weekend road swing through Indiana with a 5-2 loss to IPFW Sunday morning.

The Panthers (2-2) did claim a pair of singles wins but could not overcome a number of strong efforts by the Mastodons.

Senior Kari Kastenholz earned one of the points for Milwaukee, claiming a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 win over Yuka Kobayashi at number-four singles. Then, freshman Brittany Skemp captured a 3-6, 6-3, 10-8 victory over Alex Forsyth in the number-six slot.

But, IPFW had already won the doubles point by capturing all three doubles contests and the Mastodons also won the remaining four singles outings in straight sets.

UWM heads to Minneapolis for three matches next weekend. The Panthers will face Missouri and Minnesota on Saturday before squaring off with North Dakota Sunday.
