Panthers Fall At Marquette

MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Marquette Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers (3-7) were swept in doubles play and then fell in all six singles contests.

Kelly Drvaric posted the best effort for Milwaukee, dropping a 6-3, 7-5 decision at number-one singles. Otherwise, no other Panther player was able to win more than two games in a set.

In doubles play, Drvaric and Kari Kastenholz did win a pair of games in the top spot, as did Sammi Schoen and Brittany Skemp in the second slot.

UWM will play one match next weekend, hosting Northern Iowa Friday night at the Paley Tennis Center.
