KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team claimed a pair of doubles victories on day one of the ITA Second Chance Regional at Western Michigan University Friday.

The tandem of Maddy Soule and Kelly Fritz captured an 8-5 win over a pair from Northern Illinois. That came after Soule and Fritz dropped a tight, 9-7 match to a tandem from Bowling Green.

Also, Megan Gow and Sammi Schoen split two matches, with their win coming over a pair from Northern Illinois, 8-4.

The Panthers did drop five singles contests against a very tough field, while Fritz will play Nini Sujashvili of Western Michigan in the quarterfinals Saturday.
