MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team won all six singles matches and all three doubles contests in capturing a 7-0 win over Horizon League rival Valparaiso Saturday night at the Paley Tennis Center.

The Panthers (11-8, 3-1 Horizon) were rarely threatened in any of the matches, with only one of the six singles contests needing a third-set tiebreaker and all three doubles duals decided by at least five points.

Kari Kastenholz led Milwaukee on the singles front, collecting a 6-1, 6-3 victory in the number-two slot for her seventh-straight victory. Jenna Felsher also had an easy time of things at #5 singles, recording a 6-1, 6-0 victory for her 21st win of the season. The one tight singles match came in the #6 slot, where Ashley Schoneman pulled out a 3-6, 6-4, 10-3 win.

In doubles play, a lineup shift helped spark the Panthers. Kastenholz and Sammi Schoen teamed up in the first slot and recovered from a 3-1 deficit by winning seven-straight games. Kelly Drvaric and Schoneman then claimed an 8-2 win in the second slot while Felsher and Martina Schnapp rolled to an 8-0 win at #3 doubles.

"Mixing up our doubles lineup really paid off," UWM head coach Matt McCaskill said. "We obviously haven't won many doubles points this year so it was nice to win all three of the matches and get the doubles point. In singles play, Kari continues to roll along and so does Jenna. It was really a great overall effort and it should get us ready for a tough road trip next weekend."

UWM does return to action next weekend, heading to Ohio for contest with Cleveland State and Youngstown State.
