The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee fell to Chicago State Saturday night in a non-conference match as a result of a 5-2 decision.
The Panthers won the doubles portion of the match thanks in part to 8-5 victory by the duo of Tammie Spiel and Megan Brown, their second consecutive.
"Singles played much better today," UWM head coach Erika Wentz said. "We need to work on taking our opportunities and closing out points."
The match was the second of the spring for the Panthers, who are 0-2 in match play.
UWM continues their home stand, as they welcome Horizon League rival Butler, Sunday at 9 a.m.
