UWM Downs Stony Brook, 9-7

HOMESTEAD, Fla. - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee scored six times in the seventh inning en route to a 9-7 win over Stony Brook Friday afternoon at the Homestead Challenge.

Charlie Reschke, Troy Doering, Dave Pudlosky, Jeff Pitrof and Sam Jansen all had two hits apiece for the Panthers, who held off a late Seawolves rally to claim their second-straight win. Reschke and Marcellus Dawson had two RBI each for UWM.

Cory Kleeba threw seven innings of shutout ball before being roughed up for six runs in the late innings. Jay Molstad recorded the final out for his first save.

UWM wraps up its stay in Florida with contests against Stony Brook and Harvard Saturday.
