MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's tennis team lost to UIC Sunday afternoon in Chicago by a 7-0 count. The Panthers, in their return from the winter layoff, won just five games in falling to the league favorites.

Margie Van Lieshout had the strongest showing, falling to the Flames' Ayca Gumuscu by a 6-1, 6-3 margin. Alyssa Halcomb was the only other Panther to show a win, falling to Nicole Derouin, 6-0, 6-1.

The Panthers return to action this weekend with a pair of matches against DePaul on Saturday and Bradley on Sunday.
