Box Score

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Cincinnati landed three players in double figures in kills en route to a 30-24, 30-20, 30-20 win over UWM Sunday afternoon on the final day of the Shamrock Invitational.

Lindsey Spoden came up one kill shy of UWM's first individual triple-double since 1996, recording nine kills, 16 digs and 18 assists. She hit .412 for the match and was named to the all-tournament team.

Julie DuPont had 14 kills to lead the way for the Bearcats (1-2), while Bonita Wise had 11 and Trish Ladusaw added 10.

UWM hit just .058 for the match while Cincinnati hit .256 and tallied 11.5 blocks. The Panthers finished the tournament, which saw them face three opponents ranked in the top 40 nationally in various polls, at 1-2.

"We were really, really good last night, but we just couldn't sustain it today," head coach Kathy Litzau said. "Cincinnati was really good, really on. They hadn't won yet in the tournament and it just looked like they were on a mission."

UWM returns to action next weekend at the IKON/Husky Classic in Storrs, Conn., opening play Friday afternoon against Sacramento State.
