Panther Baseball Storms Past Middle Tennessee

Murfreesboro, Tenn. - The UWM baseball team improved to 5-11 on the season after a 5-3 win over Middle Tennessee State on Saturday. It was the Panthers' first-ever win against the Raiders.

Andy Neary held the opposition to eight hits and three runs in eight innings of work to earn the win. He struck out three batters and walked none.

UWM scored all of its runs in the fifth inning. Darrin Haugom hit a two-run double in the inning. Matt Houk, and Brett Huebner also had RBIs in the inning.

The game, which had rain delays totaling 1 hour 29 minutes, was called in the top of the ninth due to a tornado warning.

UWM wraps up its spring trip on Sunday with a double header against Miami of Ohio.
