Lake Charles, La. - A strong outing by starting pitcher Mike Oiler and three hits and the plate from Steve Tylke were not enough for the UWM baseball team against Oral Roberts, an NCAA tournament qualifier a year ago. The Panthers fell to 0-3 on the season with a 7-5 loss in third day of the Lake Charles Classic on Sunday.
Oiler, a junior, went four innings and allowed just two earned runs and picked up no decision. Jason Crawford piced up the loss in the eighth inning.
Tylke went 3-for-5 on the day and had two RBIs.
UWM is off until games March 3-4 at Creighton.
