MILWAUKEE -
Chrissy Schurla had ten kills to lead the UWM women's volleyball team to a 15-6, 15-7, 15-7, win over Valparaiso Tuesday night at the Klotsche Center.
The Panthers have now won 10 straight overall, and 43 of their last 44 home matches.
UWM (19-3) had little trouble with the Crusaders (7-23), bolting to leads of 13-3 in game one and 8-2 in game two before emptying the bench in game three.
The Panthers hit .240 for the match, and limited Valparaiso to a .017 hitting percentage while recording 10 blocks.
"I think we did a good job of playing our game," coach Kathy Litzau said. "Once we started being more aggressive offensively, we started to earn those points."
Litzau was able to play 12 players in the match, with freshman Carly Allison recording four kills in game three and junior Moira Coughlin collecting 13 assists.
"It's nice to give everybody some court time, especially more relaxed court time," Litzau said. "And we got some nice contributions."
UWM returns to MCC play this weekend, visiting Wright State and Butler. The Panthers enter the weekend tied with Loyola Chicago for first place in the MCC.
