Sept. 21, 1999

MILWAUKEE - The UWM women's soccer team moved to 4-3-1 on the season with a 0-0 tie against Marquette on Tuesday night at Uihlein Soccer Park.

Senior goalkeeper Liz Ulicki recorded six saves in posting the shutout.

"We have three shutouts in a row now," said UWM head coach Michael Moynihan. "Liz is a big part of that."

Despite no scoring, there were scoring chances on each side. Marquette took 16 shots, six on goal. The Panthers took 10 shots, four on goal.

"For a 0-0 game, it was exciting," said Moynihan. "Both teams, as far as dangerous scoring chances, played even."

Lindsey Munkwitz took three shots for UWM. Katie Waltenberger and Stefanie Hosni each took two shots.

"I was pleased with the game we played, but still disappointed in the number of attacking chances we created. We just need that one last pass to go," said Moynihan.

The Panthers travel to Dayton for a Friday game.
