MILWAUKEE - The UWM women's soccer team got back on the winning track by beating Weber State, 1-0, at the UWM PRIMCO Classic. Lindsey Munkwitz (Waukesha, Wis.-Catholic Memorial) scored her first goal of the season giving UWM the victory.

"This is a big game for us," said UWM head coach Michael Moynihan. "They are a tough defensive team. It's nice to get winning again."

Munkwitz's goal came in the 54th minute off a rebound from Stefanie Hosni (Waukesha, Wis.-Catholic Memorial). Despite being outshot 7-12, the Panthers held off a late Wildcat shooting rally to improve their record to 3-3. Senior goalkeeper Liz Ulicki (Mukwonago, Wis.-Mukwonago) recorded her second shutout of the season.

Wright State defeated UW-Green Bay, 4-3, in earlier competition at the UWM PRIMCO Classic. Play resumes tomorrow at noon at Uihlein Soccer Park with UW-Green Bay squaring off against Weber State. UWM takes on Wright State at 2:30.
