Maddox Durst joined the Milwaukee Athletics staff as an Athletics Communication Assistant and Creative Content producer beginning in August of 2026.
At Milwaukee, Durst will serve as the primary contact of the cross country, track & field and swim & dive programs. Additionally, Durst will play a role in the creative department as a photographer and videographer.
Durst graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May of 2026 with a degree in Journalism, where he worked as a Brand Communications Student Assistant in the Wisconsin Athletic Department for two years.
He assisted with the communications efforts of the cross country and track & field programs in the 2024-25 season, witnessing a Men’s Cross Country Big Ten Championship. Durst was also responsible for hosting the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Madison during his time with the Badgers.
He moved on to the volleyball and softball programs at Wisconsin, playing a role in the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Final Four and the First Round of the NCAA Softball Tournament throughout the 2025-26 season.
Before his time within the Wisconsin Athletic Department, Durst contributed to Prep Baseball Wisconsin from June of 2022 to August of 2024. During his tenure with the company, Durst promoted high school baseball prospects through reporting, writing and video, traveling around the Badger State to scout athletes.
He went on to earn the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Media Person of the Year in February of 2025 for his high school baseball podcast, photography and videography efforts.
Durst is a Milwaukee native and originally hails from Grafton.
