Clare Faurote was promoted to Associate Athletic Director of Academic Services in January of 2019, and enters her 10th full year with Milwaukee in 2025-26.
Faurote will continue her current responsibilities which include overseeing the comprehensive academic enhancement program for all Milwaukee student-athletes, focusing on the areas of academic, professional, and personal development.
Faurote oversees the academic efforts of both the men's and women's soccer programs, while also assisting in the academic aide of the women's tennis program.
She monitors student-athletes regarding NCAA rules for satisfactory progress and degree completion requirements, provides oversite to the department’s Freshmen transition course (EDPSYCH101 – Success in Academics & Athletics), oversees the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) & Life Skills initiatives and directs the department’s end-of-the year awards banquet, The Golden Panther Awards.
Faurote is a member of the Milwaukee Athletics Senior Staff Leadership Team and stays very active on campus. She serves on various department workgroups while also participating in various campus, league, and national organizations.
She joined the Panther Athletics Department in the fall of 2015 after spending the previous year across campus, serving as an advisor in the Lubar School of Business.
Prior to her time in Milwaukee, she spent six years at Stony Brook University, where she worked as an academic advisor in the student-athlete development department and prior to that was a business administration assistant with the Seawolves.
She received her Bachelor of Science and MBA from Fairfield University, where she was a member of the women’s basketball team and later served as a graduate assistant coach and director of basketball operations.
