Appeared in all 32 of the team’s games during her redshirt-freshman season with the team and averaged 13.0 minutes per game … made two starts on the year … finished the season shooting 54.5 percent from the field and averaged better than an assist per game … had a breakout game in the team’s second game of the season as she finished with 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting with a season-high four assists in the team’s win at Northern Illinois (11/7) … had five rebounds at Wisconsin (11/10) … collected another four assists in a neutral site matchup against UC Davis (11/29) ... pulled down a season-high eight rebounds and had three steals to go along with eight points against Wisconsin Lutheran (12/20) … got her first career start in the following game at IU Indy (12/29) … went 4-for-4 from the free throw line in the team’s win over Cleveland State (1/4) … scored 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting on the road versus Oakland (1/10) … picked up another 12 points with six rebounds in the team’s victory at home against Detroit Mercy (1/22) … knocked down a three-pointer and secured five rebounds versus Oakland (1/24) … went 4-of-5 from the field and scored eight points in a win over Wright State (1/31) … scored seven points against Purdue Fort Wayne (2/25).

High School
Graduated from East Ridge High School in Woodbury, Minnesota in 2024 … played five seasons of varsity basketball during her high school career … as a senior she helped the team finish off a 20-win season including an appearance in the Class 4A Section 4 Championship Game … throughout her high school career, Barnes helped her teams to four state tournament appearances, and was also a Minnesota Miss Basketball Nominee, while being selected as a Minnesota State All Star … earned three All-Conference selections, a pair of All-State Honorable Mention nods, while she was also an SEC Defensive Player of the Year on two occasions … also ran track and was a Minnesota state champion in the 4x400 relay and was a conference champion in the 300m hurdles … was a two-time all-conference honoree in the 300m hurdles and earned all-conference accolades in the 100m hurdles … participated in BSU, and was also a part of AVID, and the Athletic Leadership Council while she was also a Pseo student.

Daughter of Tanysha Scott and Leon Barnes … her mother played basketball at Minnesota Duluth … aunt Tayler Hill played collegiate basketball at Ohio State and was selected in the 2013 WNBA Draft by the Washington Mystics, playing six seasons in the league … uncle P.J. Hill played three seasons at Ohio State before playing overseas … plans to earn her degree in psychology while studying at Milwaukee.
