Raina Terry joins the Milwaukee volleyball coaching staff for her first season in 2025.

Terry had a historic career as a student-athlete at the University of Illinois, where she was named an American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American.
 
An outside hitter with the Fighting Illini, Terry, originally from Marengo, Ohio, finished her illustrious career as the all-time leader in kills at Illinois, tallying 2,138 over 143 career matches. She also concluded her tenure as the program's all-time leader in service aces with 220.
 
A versatile, all-around player, Terry added 975 digs to her stat line and finished her career ranked in the top-10 in Illinois program history in both sets and matches played.
 
During her five seasons with the Illini, Terry helped the team to 78 victories, including 50 in Big Ten Conference play. Illinois made two NCAA Championships appearances during her time, including a Sweet 16 appearance during her sophomore season in 2021.
 
In addition to her AVCA All-American selection, Terry was a two-time VolleyballMag All-American, a three-time AVCA All-Region selection, and a three-time All-Big Ten First Team honoree.
 
In 2024-25, Terry was awarded the prestigious Big Ten Medal of Honor, which is given annually to one male and one female athlete at each Big Ten institution who demonstrate excellence in both scholarship and athletics. It Is the top individual honor presented by the University of Illinois Athletics.
 
Following her graduate season in 2024, Terry was selected 11th overall in the Pro Volleyball Federation draft by the Columbus Fury. In her first season as a professional, she recorded 194 kills, 10 service aces, 32 blocks, and 126 digs, competing from mid-January to mid-April.

Terry earned her undergraduate degree in kinesiology from the University of Illinois, followed by a postgraduate degree in recreation, sport, and tourism.

Outside of her success on the court, Terry has served as co-head coach of the Prime Time Volleyball Club and has also worked as a camp coach at the University of Illinois Volleyball Camp.
