Nikki Zimmerman (nee Dailey) joined the Milwaukee volleyball staff in July of 2021, and enters her third season with the program in 2023.
In her first season on the sidelines with the Panthers, Zimmerman helped guide the program to a regular season championship in the Horizon League as the team finished with a 16-2 mark in conference contests, while ending the year with a 22-9 overall record.
Zimmerman joined the Panthers with experience at Virginia, Tennessee, and East Tennessee State.
Most recently at Virginia, Zimmerman served as recruiting coordinator and assistant coach. She led the offensive systems and was a position coach to the setters. At Tennessee, she was an assistant coach primarily working as a position coach to the setters in addition to training passing and backcourt defensive systems.
Prior to her season with the Lady Vols, Zimmerman was an assistant coach at East Tennessee State where she helped guide the Buccaneers to the 2016 Southern Conference regular season title.
Zimmerman was a four-year letter winner at Iowa and ranks sixth all-time with 3,161 assists. She earned status on three of Iowa’s all-time career leader lists, finishing top-20 in assists (5th, 3,161), service aces (14th, 95), and digs (16th, 1,049).
A native of Franklin, Wis., Zimmerman earned her undergraduate degree in health sciences and communication from Iowa in 2014 and her master’s degree from ETSU in sports management.
