Andres Esquetini is in his second season as a graduate assistant tennis coach at Milwaukee after spending the previous two years as a graduate assistant coach at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Ill.

In his first season with UWM, Esquetini helped the Panthers to a 12-10 overall record, including a 6-3 mark in Horizon League action.
During his two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Olivet Nazarene, the Ecuador native helped the men’s program to a No. 24 NAIA national ranking, while the women’s team came in at No. 22. His efforts helped develop three conference players of the year and he also mentored Clara Ruegsegger, the ITA/Arthur Ashe Jr. Award recipient, in addition to coaching a pair of NAIA top 10 players.

As a standout tennis player as an undergraduate student at Olivet Nazarene, Esquetini was a three-time Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference champion and was named the conference’s player of the year in 2012. That same season, he was also hailed as the ITA Senior Regional Player of the Year and earned the NAIA Champion of Character Award. A three-time National Christian College Athletic Association All-American, he helped the Tigers to a pair of NCCAA national championships. Esquetini also played soccer, helping ONU to a CCAC title and NAIA national tournament berth in 2012.

A graduate of Olivet Nazarene, with a triple major in economics/finance, business administration and marketing, Esquetini also earned his master’s degree in business administration from that institution. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in management from UWM.
