2008-09: Served as a team captain ... swam to season-best times in the 500 freestyle, 100 butterfly and 200 fly at the Horizon League Championships, placing 13th in the 200 fly and 15th in the 1000 free ... career-best time in the 1000 free at the championship meet ... claimed her only win of the season in the 200 fly against Wheaton Nov. 1 ... took third four-consecutive times in the 200 fly Dec. 6 - Jan. 24 ... named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.
2007-08: Established career-best times in the 1000 freestyle and the mile at the Horizon League Championships, placing 14th in both ... fourth in the 200 butterfly against Wheaton Nov. 2, Valparaiso Dec. 8 and Western Illinois Jan. 26 ... named to the 2008 Horizon League Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2006-07: Swam to season-best times in four events at the Horizon League Championships for the second-straight season, including a career-best in the 1650 freestyle and nearly one in the 500 as well ... placed fifth in the 200 butterfly, eighth in the 1650 free and 10th in the 1000 at the championships ... finished fifth or better four times in the 1000 free on the year ... took fifth in both the 500 and 1000 free at the Wheaton Invitational Dec. 2 ... Horizon League Academic Honor Roll member.
2005-06: Swam to season-best times in four events at the Horizon League Championships, placing fifth in the 200 butterfly, eighth in the 1650 freestyle and 10th in the 1000 while also competing in the 500 free ... had a busy day in the pool against Green Bay Feb. 10, placing third in the 200 fly, fifth in the 500 free and sixth in the 1000 ... third in the 200 fly at the Bill Ritter Invitational Jan. 21 ... claimed a victory in the 1000 free and a fourth-place showing in the 500 free against Valparaiso Nov. 13 ... finished second in the 1000 free in four of five meets in late October thru mid-November.

Personal: Parents are Larry and Mary McDonough ... a journalism and mass communications major in school ... hobbies include playing the french horn, knitting club and shopping ... a member of the Young Democrats Club and head of her book club ... volunteer assistant swim coach for Special Olympics ... also volunteers as a swim coach at Nativity Elementary.
