2024-25 (Junior)
Closed the season at the Horizon League Championships, placing ninth in the 400 IM (4:30.04), and 10th in the 200 IM (2:06.57), both season bests... started the year at the Wisconsin Showcase October 19, taking fifth in the 200 IM, and seventh in the 100 breast and 200 back... finished second in the 200 IM and third in the 200 breast at Stevens Point on January 31... took third in the 200 IM against Green Bay on January 31.
2023-24 (Sophomore)
Reached the championship heat in two events at the Horizon League Championships, finishing fourth in the 400 IM (4:28.88) and sixth in the 200 IM (2:06.81), recording season best times in both events... also placed 14th in the 200 back (2:08.36) at the same meet... opened the season October 13 against Indiana State by taking fifth in the 200 IM and sixth in the 200 back... put together one of her best performances of the season on February 3 against Stevens Point, finishing third in both the 100 back (1:00.82) and the 200 IM (2:13.36).
2022-23 (Freshman)
Capped a busy first year as a Panther by swimming in three events at the Horizon League Championships, finishing 10th in the 400 IM (4:35,14), 12th in the 200 backstroke (2:08.47), and 17th in the 200 IM (2:11.14) ... set season-best times in either prelims or finals of each event ... competed in eight different events over the course of the season ... opened her collegiate career with a fifth-place showing in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.86) at UIC Oct. 15 ... took fourth in the 400 IM in the win over Wheaton Nov. 4 in 4:50.57 ... also took fourth in the 400 IM in the win over Green Bay Jan. 28 ... fourth in the 200 IM (2:16.82) and fifth in the 100 backstroke (1:03.99) against St. Thomas Feb. 3.
High School: A multi-sport athlete at Lincoln-Way East High School … a four-year member of the varsity swim team and two-time IHSA state qualifier in the pool, earning all-sectional honors … also played water polo all four years … honor roll member … swam for the Lincoln-Way Swim Association club team for five years.
Personal: Daughter of Larry and Erin Hackett … nickname is Kate … dad was a member of the golf team in college … a finance & marketing major … chose Milwaukee because she really liked the team and coaches … also because of the great business program and it had everything she was looking for academically … career goal is to graduate with a business degree, get a good job, and be successful … most memorable sports experience was winning sectionals with her team senior year and qualifying for the IHSA state meet … hobbies include cooking and reading … has done volunteer/community service work at her elementary school … born March 24, 2004.
