2023-24 (Senior)
Opened her season October 13 against Indiana State by finishing eighth in the 100 fly (1:03.96)... competed in three events at the Wisconsin Showcase October 21, taking tenth in the 100 fly (1:03.09), 15th in the 100 free (57.20), and 16th in the 50 free (25.94)... competed in the 50 free and the 100 fly at the IUPUI House of Champions Meet... took third in the 100 fly (1:00.31) February 2 against St. Thomas, setting a season-best time... had her best performance of the season on senior night February 3 against Stevens Point, winning the 100 free (54.25) and taking second in the 50 free (24.93) with season best times in both... named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.
2022-23 (Junior)
Opened the campaign by taking sixth in both the 100 backstroke (1:01.63) and 200 back (2:11.64) against UIC Oct. 15 ... competed in three events at the Wisconsin Showcase Oct. 22, placing fourth in the 100 free (55.37), seventh in the 100 back (1:01.43), and 10th in the 200 free (2:01.52) ... fourth in the 200 back and sixth in the 100 back in the win over IUPUI Oct. 28 ... claimed the 200 free title in a clocking of 1:59.62 at Wheaton Nov. 4 and took runner-up in the 100 back in 1:01.38 against the Thunder ... finished the season in a flourish, claiming Horizon League Swimmer of the Week honors with her performance against St. Thomas and Stevens Point Feb. 2-4 ... won three total events as the Panthers topped both the Tommies and the Pointers, coming through with a pair of victories against St. Thomas, claiming the 200 freestyle (1:55.31) and the 100 backstroke (59.05). She added another win the next day against Stevens Point in the 200 back (season-best 2:07.11).
2022-23 (Sophomore)
Opened the season at the Wisconsin Showcase Oct. 22, placing 12th in the 100 freestyle (56.85), 14th in the 100 butterfly (1:03.90), and 20th in the 50 free (26.05) ... took sixth in the 50 free in 25.65 and eighth in the 100 free in 56.26 in the win over Green Bay Jan. 28 ... put together a strong start to February, starting with a victory in the 100 free in a season-best 53.98 and a seventh-place effort in the 50 free in 25.19 at St. Thomas Feb. 3 ... did well the next day at Stevens Point, finishing as the runner-up in the 50 free (season-best 24.94) and a fourth-place showing in the 500 free (5:26.82) ... named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.
2021-22 (Freshman)
Swam in two events February 4 against St. Thomas, finishing fifth in the 100 freestyle (55.85) and 200 free (2:01.93) ... placed third in the 50 free (25.24) the following day against Stevens Point ... finished fourth November 5 in the 100 butterfly ... took seventh in the 100 fly October 30 against UIC ... named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.
2020-21 (COVID-shortened/Freshman)
Placed seventh in the 50 freestyle against UIC March 20 ... seventh in the 100 butterfly (season-best 1:02.24) and ninth in the 200 fly in the win over Green Bay March 7 ... placed second in the 50 freestyle (25.80) in the season-opening victory over UIC Feb. 21.
High School: Started swimming on the varsity team at University Laboratory School in the sixth grade … named All-Metro each of her four seasons … team captain … helped her team to the Louisiana Division III State Championship her junior year … Capital City Swim League conference champion in the 50 and 100 freestyles … all-CCSL honoree … finished third in the 100 butterfly, fourth in the 50 freestyle, third in the 200 medley relay and fourth in the 400 free relay at the 2019 LHSAA Division 3 State meet … competed in the 2018 LHSAA Division 3 State meet in the 100 fly (placing third), 50 free (sixth), and as a member of the 200 medley relay that set a state record … member of the 400 free relay championship team … honor roll member and All-Academic Team member … International Baccalaureate diploma recipient … earned the Dartmouth Alumni Book Club Award … swam club for seven years with Tiger Aquatics.

Personal: Daughter of Jarrod and Belinda Van Hoogstraten … a mechanical engineering major … chose Milwaukee because she loved the team atmosphere and the location … career goal is to use her degree to help others and become as successful as she can in her field … most memorable sports experience was anchoring the 200 medley relay team that broke the 15-year old state record as a sophomore before breaking it again as a junior when they won the state championship  … hobbies include drawing, hanging out with friends and traveling … has done over 200 hours of community service and volunteer work, including making dog toys for an animal shelter, aid at the Special Olympics bowling tournament and volunteering at food banks … born Nov. 26, 2001.
