Alexi Kuska starts her third season as an assistant coach for the Milwaukee swimming & diving teams in 2017-18.
Kuska helped continue the strong legacy of Milwaukee swimming in her first two years on campus, guiding the Panthers to two more league trophies with a pair of runner-up showing on the women's side at the Horizon League Championships.
The Panthers also posted quite a bit of individual success in Kuska's first two years, breaking a combined 13 school records and six more freshman records.
Kuska comes to Milwaukee after most recently serving as an assistant coach at Dartmouth in 2014-15.
Kuska also served as an assistant coach with the University of Chicago men's and women's swimming and diving programs from July 2012 through June 2013. During her time there, she was a member of the 2013 Men's and Women's University Athletic Association (UAA) Coaching Staff of the Year.

"I am thrilled to be involved in adding to the success of the Panther swimming & diving program," Kuska said. "I came to a Milwaukee because the opportunity met my unique criteria: UWM is led by a head coach with whom I can partner to contribute a unique blend of enthusiasm and expertise to a program that welcomes success. Bringing new talent to any team is rewarding, so having the opportunity to coordinate the Panther recruiting effort is extremely appealing and allows me to gain valuable experience. The UWM Campus is beautiful, the athletes are passionate about our sport and Milwaukee seems like a great place to live."

Prior to that, Kuska was working as an assistant coach at Ohio State. While at OSU, Kuska assisted with recruiting efforts, athlete mentoring and meet preparation.
Kuska, who enjoyed a successful 15-year competitive swimming career, was a four-year member of the University of Richmond women's varsity swim team from 2008-12 and was named co-captain during her senior year. She helped lead the Spiders to three Atlantic 10 (A-10) Championship titles during her time in Virginia.
Kuska graduated from Richmond in 2012 with a degree in psychology and a minor in religious studies.
