2024-25 (Junior)
Finished the season at the Horizon League Championships, competing in the 200 back (2:06.90), 100 back (58.87), and 500 free (5:09.96), posting season bests in each event... opened the year at the Wisconsin Showcase October 19, taking seventh in the 500 free, ninth in the 200 back, and 11th in the 200 free... placed third in the 1000 free at Wheaton (Ill.) on November 2... finished third in the 200 back and fourth in the 100 back at Stevens Point on January 31.

2023-24 (Sophomore)
Closed her season at the Horizon League Championships, swimming in the prelims in the 50 free (24.71), the 100 back (58.58), and the 200 back (2:06.44), setting new season-best times in both backstroke events... opened the year October 13 against Indiana State with a fifth-place finish in the 200 back and a seventh-place finish in the 100 back... competed in three events October 21 at the Wisconsin Showcase, taking fifth in the 500 free, seventh in the 200 back, and 11th in the 100 back... closed the regular season February 3 against Stevens Point with her best performance of the season, taking second in the 200 back and fourth in the 100 back... named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.

High School: Did not compete in the pool for her Little Chute High School program … enjoyed a successful club career with the Fox Valley Wave Swim Team for 12 years … ranked No. 52 in the state by swimcloud.com … honor roll member … National Honor Society member.
 
Personal: Daughter of Brian and Anita Vanden Burgt … nickname is Bree … a kinesiology major … chose Milwaukee because she loved the coaches and the team, the great campus, and because it was close to home … career goal is to become a sports physical therapist and work with injured athletes … most memorable sports experience was traveling to Orlando, Florida, with her club team for NCSA Championships … lists hobbies as being outside, wakeboarding, and painting … has done community service work with her Fox Valley Wave swim team … born September 22, 2003.
