Attended Pewaukee High School in Pewaukee, Wisconsin … played four seasons of varsity baseball for the Pirates … was a part of two teams that qualified for the state tournament in Appleton, Wisconsin while in high school … was selected as a First-Team All-District and All-Conference selection before adding Honorable Mention All-State honors as an infielder only due to an injury that kept him from pitching … was a Second Team All-State honoree after being named Southeast District Player of the Year as well as First-Team All-District and All-Conference as a junior following a season with a 6-1 record with a 2.00 ERA with 73 strikeouts over 42 innings while throwing the first perfect game in school history while also throwing a perfect game during the season … at the plate hit .415 with 33 RBIs and 27 runs scored as a junior … during his freshman season in 2019 posted a 0.34 ERA and was a Second Team All-Conference selection … also played four years of basketball in high school and four years of football with the Pirates and was a part of two state championship basketball in 2021 and 2022 and one state championship football team in 2022 … was named an Academic Honor Roll selection in 2022 … also played club baseball for STiKS Academy and club basketball for the Wisconsin Shooters and JH1 Elite programs.

Son of Adam and Steph Dobberstein … has three siblings, Carson, Owen, and Griffin … brother Carson, as well as his dad and uncle all played at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.
