Marcel Feenstra

  • Title
    Volunteer Assistant Coach
Marcel Feenstra joined the Milwaukee Women's Soccer coaching staff in the summer of 2015.

Feenstra is a standout goalie for the Milwaukee Wave and has had success at a variety of levels, both indoor and outdoor.

"It's great to have someone from the area be able to join our staff and make a seamless transition," Fabiano said. "He's a great asset and he will be a big help to not only our goalkeepers, but to our team as a whole."

Feenstra started his professional career playing outdoors for Dutch first division pro team Cambuur in 2002-03. He also played for a variety of premier and first division futsal teams in Holland.

With the Wave, Feenstra has proven to be one of the best keepers in the game. He has helped Milwaukee's indoor soccer team to a pair of league titles, including earning the MVP of the MISL Championship game in the 2010-11 season.

Feenstra has posted a 33-8 career record with the Wave, including a .749 save percentage.

Feenstra also has quite a bit of coaching experience. Working his way up the ladder at Waukesha West High School, Feenstra capped last season by leading the Wolverines boys soccer team to a 13-3-2 record as one of the top teams in both the area and the state. In fact, WWHS tallied 10 shutouts on the year and posted a 7-0-1 mark in conference play this past fall, earning the Classic Eight title.

He also does work with area club teams, primarily with SC Waukesha.

A native of Holland, Feenstra earned his college degree from Horizon College in Heerhugowaard, The Neatherlands. Â
