Logan Langseth was named the assistant coach for the Milwaukee women's soccer team in June of 2024.
“I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the Milwaukee women’s soccer program,” Langseth said. “From the start, UWM felt like a great fit, like home. This is a program with a strong tradition, and I’m looking forward to being part of a staff that’s committed to developing players and competing at a high level.”
Langseth comes to Milwaukee following the past three seasons as the head coach at the University of Pikeville in Pikeville, Ky. Last fall, the team posted its best win-loss record in over 15 years and won its first game in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament before the year came to a close.
“I care deeply about building culture the right way, investing in people, and helping this group keep pushing forward,” Langseth said. “I am beyond excited to join Coach Boyd’s staff and be on the sidelines this fall.”
In his final season with the Bears program in 2024, the team surpassed every statistical season record in program history. In just three years, Langseth departs as the second-winningest coach in UPIKE history, marking a milestone in the growth and competitiveness of the program.
“I am excited to welcome Logan to Milwaukee and am looking forward to him joining the Panthers,” MKE head coach Kevin Boyd said. “I was really looking for someone with experience and clearly Logan has that. He has significantly improved the program he is coming from in a short amount of time that he was there. We were looking for a candidate that can help in all areas of the program and he has proven to be very successful in each position he has had. We were impressed with who he was when we had him on campus and think he will fit in well with our program.”
Langseth’s collegiate coaching career spans over a decade, starting in 2014 at NCAA Division III Albright College as an assistant. His next stop was at Ohio Northern, helping the Polar Bears to the OAC title while also coaching the Ohio Extreme Soccer Club.
Following ONU, Langseth was the assistant men’s soccer coach and recruiting coordinator at Tiffin University, highlighted with a GLIAC Championship in 2016. In 2018 he spent a season as an assistant on staff at Northern Michigan before taking over at Cincinnati Christian the following season. Following a year as the head coach at CCU, Langseth led the program as Florida Memorial University in 2020 before making his way to Kentucky Christian University.
Langseth enjoyed a decorated four-year playing career at NCAA Division III Penn State Berks, leaving the program with Top-5 career marks in points, goals, and assists, as well as with his 69 games played and 66 games started. Langseth graduated from Penn State Berks in 2012 with a degree in Global Studies and Political Science. He also holds a master's degree from Tiffin University.
