    Volunteer Assistant Coach

Keara Prahl (nee Thompson) joins the Milwaukee women's soccer coaching staff in the spring of 2014.

Prahl was a four-year standout for the Panthers from 2007-2011. She helped the program to new heights, including helping the team to its first-ever NCAA Tournament victory with a goal and assist in a 3-0 win over Illinois State her senior season. That year, the team also was ranked 10th by the NSCAA and ninth in the Soccer America poll, the highest ranking the program has ever achieved.

She finished her career with 18 goals, 25 assists, 61 points, six game-winning goals and 163 shots. Each of those totals is among the school's all-time leaders, while her assists and points are fifth all-time. She did this while playing in a school-record 87 games.

Prahl started her professional career in 2012 with the Western New York Flash in the Women's Professional Soccer League (WPSL) Elite. She helped the Flash to a league championship in her lone season with the team.

In 2013, Prahl played internationally in Norway for Medkila IL of the Toppserien League. She helped the team to the quarterfinals of the Norwegian Cup and a ninth-place finish in the league, its highest finish in club history. Individually, Prahl finished the year with four goals, third-most on the team.
