Mike Hamilton

Mike Hamilton enters his first season on the staff of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee 2015-16 women's basketball team as the video coordinator.

“We were very fortunate in our hire of Mike Hamilton,” head coach Kyle Rechlicz said. “He brings a wealth of knowledge to our staff and we are excited to collaborate with him so we can grow our program on and off the court. He has the determination to learn what it takes to be successful at the college level and I look forward to guiding him in his first collegiate experience.”

As video coordinator, Hamilton will be in charge of all film exchange, editing and game breakdown for scouting and highlight video purposes. He will also assist with the administrative side of the program.

Hamilton was most recently the girls head varsity coach at Kettle Moraine High School. During his two seasons as coach he posted an overall record of 29-18, the best record for the team over a two-year span in over five years. While there, he oversaw all three levels of the program, in addition to the entire youth basketball program and handling all scheduling of both practices and games.

Prior to that, he spent six years as the top assistant coach at New Berlin Eisenhower High School. During that time, he helped develop Eisenhower into one of the top defensive programs in the state. Over the course of his final three campaigns, the team finished in the top 25 for defensive points allowed per game. He helped develop the 2012 Gatorade State Player of the Year (Nicole Bauman) as well as the Woodland Conference Player of the Year each of his last four seasons at the school. The team finished as WIAA State Champions in 2010 and WIAA State runner-ups in 2012 and 2013.
