Frank Goldsberry begins his fifth season with the Milwaukee women's basketball team in 2016-17. After four years as the top assistant to head coach Kyle Rechlicz, Goldsberry was promoted to associate head coach heading into this season.

"Frank is very deserving of the honor to be named Associate Head Coach," Rechlicz said. "He has been with me at Milwaukee from the beginning and he has helped me build every phase of our program. Not only have we brought a winning mentality back to UWM women's basketball, but we are doing it off the court, as well. That's shown by winning the athletic department community service award two out of the last four seasons and raising our GPA from a 2.6 cumulative before our arrival to a 3.2 last season.

"Frank's passion for basketball and for wanting Milwaukee to be successful is contagious. We are incredibly grateful to have him here on our staff and I know our team feels fortunate to have him as a mentor, as well."

Goldsberry had served as the women’s director of basketball operations and video coordinator at the University of Dayton since 2003 before adding the title of assistant director of compliance to his duties his final season.

Goldsberry brings along an impressive coaching resume, most notably putting together a 170-16 record from 1996-2003 at Chaminade-Julienne High School in Dayton. Goldsberry led C-J to two Ohio Division II state championships (1999, 2003) and to the USA Today's No. 1 ranking in the country in 2002. The Eagles were also state runners-up in 1998 and 2001.

In three of his final four seasons at Chaminade-Julienne, the team claimed the top spot of the final AP poll. He was named Division II State Coach of the Year in 1999 and District Coach of the Year in both 1998 and 1999.

Players that Goldsberry coached at the high school level include National High School Player of the Year and current Minnesota Lynx forward Tamika Williams, who helped guide Connecticut to the 2000 and 2002 NCAA titles. He also coached Notre Dame point guard Megan Duffy and Ohio State's Brandie Hoskins. Overall, he coached nine NCAA Division I players.

Prior to his stint at C-J, Goldsberry was head coach of the boys basketball team at Northmont High School from 1993-1996. There, he posted a 42-24 overall record and led Northmont to its first district final in 20 years.
