2009-10: Served as a team captain for second-straight year ... capped UWM career by being named the male recipient of the 2009-10 Cecil N. Coleman Medal of Honor, the Horizon League's highest individual award ... presented annually to the league's top student-athletes who best exemplify the dignity and high purpose of the league and its membership ... became Milwaukee's first-ever CoSIDA Academic All-American in men's swimming, earning 2010 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America At-Large Men's Third Team honors ... also named to the Horizon Academic All-League Team ... graduates with six Panther swimming records and two Klotsche Natatorium records ... recorded 21 top-three finishes on the season, including seven individual victories ... competed at the 2009 AT&T Short Course National Championships ... placed fifth in the 200 backstroke, eighth in the 400 IM and 14th in the 200 IM at the Horizon League Championships, setting season-best times in each event in UWM's title run ... won the 200 back and 200 IM and also took third in the 100 back in win over Wright State Oct. 30 ... first in the 100 back in a season-best time at Eastern Michigan Oct. 31 ... also took second in the 200 back and third in the 200 IM at the meet ... topped the field in the 500 freestyle in his only attempt of the season against Wheaton College Nov. 6 ... first in the 200 back and second in the 1000 free in win over Valparaiso Nov. 21 ... three-year Student-Athlete Advisory Committee member ... named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll ... eight-time dean's list honoree.
