2024-25 (Graduate Student)
Closed his season at the Horizon League Championships, finishing third in the 400 IM with a season-best time of 3:52.25... also recorded his best times in the 500 free (4:30.25, 10th) and 1650 free (15:49.67, 9th)... helped set a school record in the 800 free relay (6:32.60)... opened his season at the Wisconsin Showcase October 19, winning the 200 IM, and third in the 400 IM... placed fifth in the 400 IM and eighth in the 200 IM at the IU Indy House of Champions meet... won the 200 free against Green Bay January 25... took first in the 500 free and 1000 free at Stevens Point January 31... Named to the CSC Academic All-District and Horizon League All-Academic Teams.
2023-24 (Senior)
Put together an outstanding performance at the Horizon League Championships, breaking two individual records and contributing to a relay record as well... placed third in the 400 IM, breaking his own program record with a time of 3:51.02, took fourth in the 500 free with a record-breaking time of 4:26.87, and helped the 200 free relay team to a fourth-place finish and a program record time of 1:20.45... also took fifth in the 1650 free at the meet with a season-best time of 15:40.67... opened the season by winning the 500 free and the 400 IM, along with a fifth-place finish in the 50 free at the Wisconsin Showcase October 21... won the 500 free and the 1000 free against Davenport November 3... won the 400 IM the next day in a win over Wheaton... had an impressive meet at the IUPUI House of Champions, taking second in the 400 IM, fifth in the 500 free, and seventh in the 1650 free... won two events January 27 in a win over Green Bay, topping the field in the 1000 free and the 500 free, along with a third-place finish in the 50 free... won the 200 breast and the 200 IM February 2 against St. Thomas, also taking second in the 50 free... won the 200 free and the 500 free the next day against Stevens Point... named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.
2022-23 (Junior)
Put together an impressive showing at the at the Horizon League Championships, placing third in the 400 IM (3:53.50) in record-breaking fashion, sixth in the 1650 freestyle (15:43.27, which was fourth-best all-time in program history), and 10th in the 500 free (4:29.71), establishing season-best times in each ... nearly broke the school record in preliminaries before getting it done in finals, placing third in 3:53.50 - that clipped the school mark of 3:54.18, which was set by Nic Halverson back in 2015 ... opened the season with a second-place showing in the 200 IM (1:55.90) and third-place effort in the 100 free (47.31) against UIC Oct. 15 ... shined at the Wisconsin Showcase Oct. 22, claiming titles in the 500 free in 4:44.56 and the 400 IM in a clocking of 4:11.33 ... first in the 1000 free and third in the 500 free against IUPUI Oct. 28 ... won the 400 IM (4:08.74) against Wheaton Nov. 4 ... won the 200 free (1:41.92) and the 400 IM (4:07.55) in the win over Green Bay Jan. 28 ... second in the 50 free and 100 IM against St. Thomas Feb. 3 ... placed second in the 400 free the next day at Stevens Point ... named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.
2021-22 (Sophomore)
Put together an impressive showing at the Horizon League Championships, scoring in all three events and recording a trio of program top-10 times... tallied a fifth-place finish in the 1650 free at 15:47.30, 10th-place mark in the 400 IM at 3:56.40, and 10th-place finish in the 500 free (4:29.40) ... championships 400 IM time ranks second in program history ... totaled 10 individual victories over the course of the season ... won all four 1000 free races he competed in ... February 4 against St. Thomas he finished first in the 1000 free (9:40.48) and first in the 500 free (4:42.99) ... the following day against UW-Stevens Point, placed first in the 200 free (1:43.10), 100 free (47.17), and 200 IM (1:55.19) ... named Horizon League Swimmer of the Week for his efforts ... opened the season at IUPUI with a first-place finish in the 1000 free and second-place finish in the 500 free ... finished first in the 400 IM November 5 against Wheaton (Ill.) at 4:06.94 ... named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.
2020-21 (COVID-shortened/Freshman)
Scored in all three events he competed in at the Horizon League Championships, setting season-best times in each ... finished seventh in the 1650 freestyle (16:01.87), 10th in the 400 IM (3:59.48), and 12th in the 500 free (4:34.35; season-best 4:33.82 in prelims) ... runner-up in the 1000 free against UIC Matrch 20, touching the wall in a season-best 9:54.35 ... great meet against Green Bay March 7, taking first in the 400 IM and second in the 1000 free ... started the season with second-place showings in both the 500 free and 1000 free in the opening victory against UIC Feb. 21.
High School: Four-year letterwinner in the pool at York Community High School … earned all-conference and all-sectional honors and was named all-state in the 500 freestyle … 2020 and 2019 IHSA state qualifier in the 200 IM & 500 freestyle … also a four-year member of the water polo team, earning first-team all-sectional accolades in addition to all-conference honors … swam two years for Hinsdale Swim Club.
Personal: Son of Eric and Megan Jensen … a conservation and environmental major with a Spanish minor … chose Milwaukee because he felt the team and the coaches were a great fit and that he could also excel academically in the program … career goal is to earn enough money to support his family … most memorable sports experience was qualifying and competing at the IHSA state meet as well as his last fall and spring season with Hinsdale Swim Club … hobbies include watching TV, playing any sport and hanging out with friends … has done community service work with the River Revitalization Foundation … born April 7, 2002.
