2011-12: Helped Milwaukee to its third-consecutive team title by taking fourth in the 200 IM, seventh in the 200 free and 13th in the 100 free at the Horizon League Championships ... also was part of the 200 medley relay team that earned Second-Team All-Horizon League honors and just missed a school record ... third in the 200 IM, fifth in the 200 free and sixth in the 50 free in UWM's first-ever win over Wisconsin Oct. 7 ... runner-up in the 100 free against Grand Valley State Oct. 15 ... came in second in the 200 free and third in the 100 free in a win over Ball State Oct. 28 ... one day later, took fourth in the 200 free over Wright State ... posted a pair of fourth-place finishes in the 100 and 200 free in a win over UIC Nov. 5 ... was third in the 200 IM, fifth in the 100 free and eighth in the 100 fly at the Stevens Point Border Battle Nov. 11-12 ... touched the wall 20th in the 100 free and 23rd in the 200 IM at the Iowa Hawkeye Invitational Dec. 2-4 ... won the 100 breast at Western Illinois only time competing in the event ... took second in the 200 IM in a lop-sided win over Green Bay Feb. 4.

2010-11: Established career-best times in the 100 and 200 freestyle and also had a season-best time in the 200 IM at the Horizon League Championships ... competed in eight different events as a sophomore ... earned the team captain's award ... recorded 11 top-three finishes, including one victory ... second in the 50 free in a career-best time, third in the 100 free and fourth in the 200 free at Grand Valley State University Oct. 15 ... second in the 200 free in UWM's win over Boston College Oct. 22 ... took second in his only attempt at the 1000 free against Wheaton College Nov. 5; also third in the 200 butterfly at the meet ... earned the victory in the 200 IM and also took third in the 200 free at the University of Chicago Jan. 22 ... also second in the 200 IM at Green Bay Feb. 5.

2009-10: Solid freshman campaign at UWM, swimming in nine different events ... competed in the 100 freestyle, 100 butterfly and 200 IM at the Horizon League Championships ... fourth in the 200 free and fifth in the 100 free at Eastern Michigan Oct. 31 ... third in the 1000 free and fifth in the 100 butterfly in win over Wheaton College Nov. 6 ... second in the 200 free in win over Western Illinois Jan. 30.

High School: Never swam for his high school team at Lakeside Lutheran, but has been swimming with the YMCA at Pabst Farms Club Team for 12 years ... did run cross country and track & field in high school ... two-year team captain and four-year state qualifier for the cross country team ... was a consolation finalist in the 50 freestyle at YMCA Short Course Nationals ... YMCA Wisconsin state champion in the 100 freestyle ... currently holds seven club records.

Personal: Son of Dwight and Janet Sandvold ... an art major in school ... career goal is to find a job he enjoys and to work his way up and be successful ... chose UWM because it was close, has good majors and he liked the swim team ... lists his most memorable sports experience as making the finals in the 500 freestyle at nationals and just having fun in practice ... has done volunteer work for his church youth group ... born Sept. 28, 1990.
