2022-23 (Sophomore)
Opened the season at the Wisconsin Showcase Oct. 22, placing 18th in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.41) and 35th in the 50 freestyle (23.88) ... placed second in the 100 breast in a time of 1:04.05 in the win over Wheaton Nov. 4 ... opened February strong, placing second in the 100 breast (1:00.30) against St. Thomas Feb. 3 and fourth the next day (1:01.25) at Stevens Point.

2021-22 (Freshman)
Capped his freshman season at the Horizon League Championships, placing 16th in the 100 breaststroke (57.85), 22nd in the 200 breast (2:14.67), and 34th in the 200 IM (1:58.33) ... placed third in the 100 breast (1:00.62) October 30 against UIC ... finished third in the 100 breast to open the second half of the season against Chicago, touching the wall at 1:00.76 ... swam a season-best 57.32 in the 100 breast at the IUPUI House of Champions Invitational ... in the lone 50 freestyle of the season, he finished fourth at 22.92 November 5 against Wheaton (Ill.).

High School: A four-year member of the team at Waubonsie Valley High School, earning NISCA All-American honors on four occasions … placed fourth in the 100 breaststroke at the 2020 Illinois High School State Championships … school record-holder in the 200 breast and 200 medley relay … 2019-20 All-American in 200 medley relay, 100 breast, and 400 freestyle relay … named all-conference in 100 breaststroke each of his last two seasons in the pool … 2018-19 All-American in 200 medley relay … swam club for FMC Aquatics (1 year) and Fox Valley Dwim Team (7 years) … qualified for US Open in 100 breast LCM in 2021 … first-place 2019 NCSA 200 medley relay and third-place 2019 NCSA 400 medley relay.
 
Personal: Son of Brian and Michelle Knothe … undecided on a major … chose Milwaukee because of the balance between athletics and academics as well as the team atmosphere … loves what UWM has to offer and the city that surrounds it … career goal is to qualify for the NCAA Championships and win a conference title … most memorable sports experience was placing first in the NCSA’s in the 200 medley relay and placing fourth in the IHSA State Meet in high school … hobbies include skiing, playing basketball and soccer with friends, video games, and hanging out with his dog … has done community service and volunteer work with Our Lady of Mercy/St. Vincent de Paul Clothing Drive, The Aurora Day of Service, and planting gardens and yard pickup in his community … born Dec. 6, 2002.
