2023-24 (Senior)
Competed at just three meets over the season... took seventh in the 50 fly (25.26) October 27 against UIC... swam the 100 fly November 4 against Wheaton... swam in the prelims of the 50 free (22.85) and the 100 fly (53.21) at the IUPUI House of Champions Meet... named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.
2022-23 (Junior)
Placed eighth in the 100 butterfly (54.02) and 12th in the 200 IM (2:02.94) in his first meet of the season at the Wisconsin Showcase Oct. 22 ... took third in the 400 IM (4:29.88) in the win over Wheaton Nov. 4 ... put together his best performance of the season against Stevens Point Feb. 4, winning the 200 IM in 2:00.45 and taking second in the 200 butterfly in 1:59.98 ... named to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.
2021-22 (Sophomore)
Finished fourth in the 200 freestyle at 1:50.22 against Wheaton (Ill.) on November 5 ... placed fourth in the 100 butterfly (53.46) and sixth in the 50 free (23.35) February 4 in a win against St. Thomas.
2020-21 (COVID-shortened/Freshman)
Placed 25th in the 100 butterfly (51.42) and 34th in the 200 IM (1:57.03) at the Horizon League Championships ... third in the 200 fly (season-best 2:01.32) and sixth in the 400 IM against Green Bay March 7.
High School: A South Carolina All-State, Upstate SC All-Region and 2-6A All-District performer in the pool at Eastside High School …  2019 SCHSL 4A State 400 freestyle relay champion as well as earning a fourth-place showing in the 100 butterfly at the state meet … as a junior, also was 400 free relay champs in addition to third in the 100 fly, and fourth in the 100 back and 200 medley relay … named team swimmer of the year as well as the freshman of the year during his career … Top 10 percent of class … earned outstanding academic achievement award … swam club for COM Aquatics (2011 to 2018) and Team Greenville (2018-2020).

Personal: Son of James and Amy Cawthon … a kinesiology major … chose Milwaukee because he loved the team atmosphere and felt it was a great place to continue academically and athletically … career goal is to get his M.D. and practice as a sports medicine physician … most memorable sports experience was seeing a friend demolish the competition and get his trials cut … hobbies include playing pick-up basketball and Guitar Hero … has done community service work in both Midland and Taylors … born May 1, 2002.
