Chris Zills was promoted to his current role of Associate Athletic Director for Athletic Communications in January of 2024, following time as Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications (2017-24), Director of Athletic Communications (2015-16) and Associate Director of Athletic Communications (2008-2015) for the Milwaukee Panthers.
 
He joined the athletic department in July of 2005 as the assistant sports information director, after spending four years as the head sports information director at Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wis.

At Milwaukee, Zills is the primary media relations contact for men's basketball, women's tennis, and both soccer teams, as well as the secondary contact for baseball. He is also in charge of all television and radio broadcast services and oversees all athletic communications efforts. In addition, he is a member of the Bud K. Haidet Hall of Fame Committee - creating press releases and publicizing the new class each year - since 2014.
 
Zills received his undergraduate degree in Sports Management from Wisconsin-La Crosse and his master's degree from Marian University. He has been a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America since 2001 and has received national publication awards from CoSIDA for his work on media guides 16 times, including "Best in the Nation" for the cover of the 2009 men's soccer media guide.
 
He resides in West Bend with wife, Bridget, and two sons - Quinn and Lucas.
